The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) is a member supported organization that empowers the media and marketing industries to thrive in the digital economy. Our membership is comprised of more than 650 leading media and technology companies that are responsible for selling, delivering, and optimizing digital advertising or marketing campaigns.
As an intern with the IAB, you will have exposure to some of the most important issues facing the industry today and the thought leadership initiatives designed to solve for those issues. You will learn how our organization functions and how we manage a large amount data that allows us to serve our members. Our intern program provides weekly learning sessions developed around key topics each department is working on and an opportunity to participate in industry events hosted by the IAB. We expect you to bring a fresh approach and have input on business objectives and strategies. Networking is a large part of what we do, so you will be given the opportunity to meet employees throughout the organization as well as interns from other programs to exchange ideas, learning experiences and the insight you have gained into the digital economy and how it functions.
The IT intern will work with the Senior Director, Operations to create a configuration management database for IAB, collecting the raw data, creating the database, and leveraging business Intelligence tools to create reports. In addition, this role will provide support services to the Operations team in managing IAB’s CRM application (Salesforce), including managing support tickets, and data integrity checks/clean-up.
This position begins on June 11th and ends August 17th. Interns are expected to work approximately 40 hours a week and will be paid $13/hour.
Duties and Responsibilities (may include, but not limited to):
Create a CMDB (configuration management database):
Develop a list of physical assets (desktop, server and network hardware) and related attributes
Develop a list of software assets (applications, tools, etc.) and related attributes
Map assets to users, location etc.
Day to day activities supporting the IT/Operations Team
Coordinate IT tickets, assign resources and track resolution
Manage unsubscribe requests
Coordinate development issues and manage JIRA application
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Open to feedback and knows how to translate that feedback into action.
Takes ownership of a project and can see it through to completion without significant guidance.
Ideal candidate is a self-starter, proactive, and detail oriented.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Major in Computer Science or related major preferred.
