The University of Wyoming is hiring for the position of Manager of New Media. Duties for this position will include:
•Manage official UW Athletics website including, but not limited to, serving as the primary contact for the 3rd party website provider and liaison the Communications Department, Wyoming Sports Properties, Audio/Visual and other departmental units with regards to content management for the website.
•Manage the media trade program including, but not limited to, contracting/renewing media partners, buying/placing and trafficking all state-wide media trade and cash advertising, assisting creative staff in development process for advertising and assisting in discovery of new social, mobile and digital advertising opportunities.
•Manage all UW Athletics social media efforts and the Corral student internship program including, but not limited to, working closely with marketing, communication and creative staffs to implement social media strategy and maintain content creation work flow, serving as a liaison to Wyoming Sports Properties to deploy sponsored social media initiatives while maintaining fan engagement goals and assisting in Game Day App development, content strategy and Pacmail.
•Ensure and organize in-house photography coverage of home events not currently covered by Communications Office.
•Maintains thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
•Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.

• Three years of experience in Athletics social media, website management, or marketing • A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication or a related field • Proficiency with multiple social media platforms
• Collegiate Athletic experience • Experience with Athletic Website providers (we currently use SideArm) • Strong knowledge of HTML code and Search Engine Optimization • Proficiency with Adobe Suite, including Photoshop • Experience working with multiple departments or sport programs • NCAA Division I Experience • Supervisory experience, including the ability to foster leadership and teamwork amongst others • Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills • Ability to influence and build working relationships among diverse individuals • Strong attention to detail with ability to create and maintain very specific timelines
